Career Project Due Jun 22

Accounting Careers Group Research Project
TOTAL:                      /50

Introduction:
The main purpose of this project is for class members to find out important information about future opportunities in business, especially accounting so that you will be better able to make a decision regarding your educational and occupational choices after high school.
Process:
1.      Class members will be divided into six different groups. One group will research each of the following: UBC Sauder, SFU Beedie, CPA Designation, KPU Accounting Degree, Dounglas Accounting Degree, Public Accounting (The Big 4 etc.) and Private Accounting (Management accounting, Careers etc.) The groups will be chosen by the teacher.

2.      Using the internet, each group will research its topic in detail. Group members should divide up the main topic into sub-topics (eg. Admission requirements, 1st year courses, specializations, costs, jobs etc.) so that each group member is assigned a specific area to research.

3.      Based on the information that you gather, each group will create a PowerPoint/Google Slides/Prezi. The presentation should be neat and colorful, not to mention easy to read (bullet points!)
NOTE: Although you will be using information from the internet, you are expected to write in your OWN words. Straight copying-and-pasting from a website may lead to your group failing the entire project.
